EGC English School – SMS Terms of Service & Consent
Welcome to the EGC English School SMS Program. Please read these SMS Terms of Service carefully. By explicitly opting in to receive text messages from EGC English School LLC (“EGC”, “we”, “us”), you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Separate, Explicit, and Optional Consent
- No Automated Enrollment: Enrollment in our SMS program is strictly voluntary and optional. Agreeing to our general Educational Services Agreement or purchasing a course does not automatically enroll or authorize us to send you SMS messages.
- Affirmative Opt-In: You will only receive SMS text messages from EGC if you have explicitly provided your phone number and affirmatively checked a separate, unselected box consenting to receive text messages for account updates, verification codes, payment reminders, and educational support.
2. Program Description and Message Content
Once you provide explicit consent, EGC may send text messages regarding:
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) and account security verification.
- Urgent notifications regarding live class schedules or technical platform updates.
- Billing notifications, payment link updates, and failed transaction reminders.
- Educational follow-ups from your pedagogical support team.
3. Message Frequency and Rates
- Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your interactions with our platform, billing cycles, and class schedules.
- Cost: Message and data rates may apply. EGC does not charge a premium fee for sending SMS, but your mobile carrier’s standard messaging and data rates for receiving text messages will apply according to your specific wireless plan.
4. How to Opt-Out (Cancellation)
You can cancel the SMS service at any time.
- To stop receiving text messages from EGC, simply reply STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT to any text message you receive from us.
- After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us.
- If you want to join again, just sign up or update your communication preferences in your EGC Student App profile.
5. How to Get Help or Support
If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program or have questions:
- Reply HELP directly to any text message you receive.
- Contact our support team directly at support@egcschool.com.
6. Privacy and Data Security
We respect your privacy. EGC English School LLC will protect your mobile data in strict compliance with our Privacy Policy.
- No Third-Party Sharing: Mobile origin data, text messaging originator profiles, and the specific consent data collected for SMS delivery will not be shared, sold, or rented to any third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes under any circumstances.
7. Supported Carriers
Our text messaging program works with all major mobile carriers across the United States, Brazil, and international networks. However, delivery can be affected by local carrier outages or device-level blocks, and EGC is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
